PSHE at Manor Wood

At Manor Wood Primary School, we teach Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) as a whole-school approach to underpin our children’s development as people. We deliver this in the context of a Healthy School where the health and wellbeing of our children and our school community are actively promoted. We follow the PSHE programmes You, Me and PSHE and MindMate, alongside our Restorative Practice. Together, these promote resilience, empathy and understanding and engender a positive influence on learning and relationships throughout the school. This is central to our values.

PSHE at Manor Wood helps children to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to live confident, healthy and independent lives now and in the future.  It is embedded within the wider learning offered by the school so that our children experience positive relationships with adults and with each other. Through our programme of PSHE, our children feel valued and those who are most vulnerable are identified and supported. The school organises a wide range of activities and experiences across and beyond the classroom and curriculum for the children to enjoy and develop as confident, happy and inquisitive people, contributing fully to the life of our school and community.
